Joe Cunningham
Recycling Program Manager
Joe Cunningham joined the Brightside team in September 2025. He is a graduate of Maryville University with a B.S. in Business Administration and a graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia with a M.S. in Natural Resource Management. Joe keeps the public informed about Brightside’s many programs and events, and directs the recycling education program for Saint Louis City Recycles.
He is a proud resident of the Holly Hills neighborhood.
Ava Hohn
Recycling Program Specialist
Ava joined the Brightside team in November 2024. She is a St. Louis city native who moved back to the area after graduating from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a B.A. in Environmental Sustainability and Resilience. Ava works as a Recycling Program Specialist for the City of St. Louis Recycling Education and Outreach Program. Her favorite part about working at Brightside is attending community events and meetings to help educate and encourage residents to recycle responsibly.
Hanna Lord-Howe
Recycling Program Specialist
Hanna joined the Brightside team as a Recycling Program Specialist in December 2025. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Environmental Studies. Hanna is enthusiastic about helping residents learn and explore how to make recycling part of their daily routines.
