Thinking Beyond the 3 R’s – EarthWays Center Workshop

Are you eager to engage your students in discussions about trash, recycling, and environmental stewardship, but unsure where to begin? Would you like to go on a field trip to see the landfill and recycling center? We have exciting opportunity just for you!
Join Missouri Botanical Garden for our FREE workshop Thinking Beyond the 3Rs. This is workshop is designed to equip educators with the resources, tools, and knowledge needed to integrate solid waste related topics into their classrooms. Whether you teach science, social students, ELA, or any other subject, this workshop will empower you to inspire change in your community.
Workshop Highlights:
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of waste management and its impact.
  • Enhance your confidence in teaching solid waste related topics.
  • Learn strategies to foster environmental stewardship among students.
  • Visit an active landfill and materials recycling center.
  • Cultivate students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills.

This workshop is for educators who live or work in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, or St. Charles County.
